The best gift is not a Christmas or birthday gift.

The best gift is available free every day of the year to everyone — the gift of God’s grace.
Grace is the freely-given, unmerited favor and love of God. A person who believes Christ is his or her savior deserves God’s grace and favor because they are his chosen people.

Deuteronomy 7:6 says, “For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession.”

God chose people to do his works and good deeds. By having faith in Christ, who died for the sins of man, all are able to find favor in the eyes of the Lord.

People also receive God’s favor because he sent his only son to die for their sins. When Jesus died for the sins of mankind, he not only gave them a pardon from everlasting death, he also gave them a chance at everlasting life.

Romans 6:14 says, “For sin shall not be your master, because you are not under law, but under grace.”

This does not mean that people can do what they want, only that all can be free from the burden of sin. Sinners still have to repent, but since Jesus Christ died for the sins of mankind, his grace is forever.

People should not hesitate to ask God for his grace on a daily basis.

Psalm 94:14,18 says, “For the Lord will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance. When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O Lord, held me up.”

This Verse admits that people slip, but the love and grace of God supports them through their trials and tribulations.

God’s people should do the same by asking for his grace in times of need. People need grace. It can sustain their lives and give them hope.

God is sufficient for all needs. It says in 2 Corinthians 12:9,  “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”

Through the weakness of God’s people he is made perfect and strong.

College students should remember they can go to God with any problem. Anything is possible through him. God supported his people through their trials and tribulations and he will support college students through theirs.

2 Corinthians 9:8 says, “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”

Paul says in Corinthians that God gives grace to his people so that any work they do will be good. God will not let any of his people become lost in their errors. Though college students may make mistakes in their lives, they can receive God’s grace."
