College leaders from across the state traveled to campus Jan. 28-30 to “burn out.”

This year’s theme for the Christian Association of Student Leaders, “Burn Out Bright,” came from Switchfoot’s song by the same name and Matthew 5:14 which states “You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.”

Huskies continue their efforts to help Haiti

Since the earthquake struck Haiti on Jan. 12, students at the University have shown their love, compassion and support.

In Continuation of that trend, junior Griffin Covington is planning a benefit concert, “Real Hope for Haiti,” which will be held Feb. 25 at 7:30 p.m. in Dunham Theater. Tickets are $7 for all students with a valid ID from any university.

Spreading gift of love on Valentine’s Day

Roses, chocolates, gifts and love are a few things that represent the upcoming holiday—St. Valentine’s Day.

We celebrate Valentine’s Day in honor of St. Valentine who was martyred in 269 A.D. for refusing to denounce Christianity. Everyone shows and receives love differently, but spreading love is how we can keep the meaning of Valentine’s Day alive.
