About us
The Collegian has been the student-lead newspaper of Houston Baptist University since 1963, and has a rich tradition of journalistic integrity. The Collegian provides all students the opportunity to develop leadership, writing, editing, and design skills that will be useful throughout their college and professional careers. It also serves as the writing lab for newswriting courses. The skills learned and awards earned by working on the Collegian enhance students’ resumes and make them more competitive for entry-level positions in a variety of careers. The Collegian is published bi-weekly with a print circulation of 2,500. It accepts editors and writers from all majors who are interested in contributing to the award-winning publication.
